Last saturday may 31 I was invited for a workshop at the farmstore called De Plantage.
I started to show them some tricks for a simple but beautifull arrangement. Like putting some tape in a screen over the top of a wide container or a making a screen from branches tide with rope from an old t-shirt in the colour of the flowers. Then I told them to think out of the box in using other things than flowers like pasta, bread, flowers made of an old coffeefilter, fabric or leather.
To keep all natural and creative they made their own vase from a plastic bucket covered with the leaves of Petasites hybridus. First you let them wilt for at least an hour them. Then you spray them with glue both the leaves and the bucket after 10 minutes you can fold the leaves around the bucket. We made a shaf bound bouquet with Peonies, Dianthus barbatus and a beautiful dark Astrantia as a finishing touch they added some wheat.
